Gaws x Dapper Tracks: Summer Tracks vol. 2

While I was putting together the Dapper Tracks S/S Mixtape, the big homie Liam, over at Gaws, mentioned that he was interested in putting something together as well.  What came about is an amazing blend, perfect for a Sunday drive, a Saturday barbeque, or 2:30 pm on a Friday stuck at your desk waiting for 5:00 to hit.  If you don't know Liam, he is a pretty popular guy on the internets.  His Tumblr is like a mixture of an art gallery, a designers showroom, and a comedy club.  Together with his biting wit, great ear for music, and penchant for Chappelle Show quotes make him one of my favorite bloggers out there.  Pour something cold to drink, open the windows, and press play.  Download link after the jump.

Polo Shirts: The Stylish Man's T-Shirt

A few weeks ago, I posted a series of polo shirts that I really liked on Tumblr.  This sparked a small conversation on the place of polo shirts in a stylish man's wardrobe.  Some thought they had no place while others believe them to be a necessity.  I fall somewhere in the middle of this argument: while polo shirts are by no means a requirement, they are the stylish man's t-shirt: you really can't go wrong with a well fitting polo shirt.  These are examples of how one can wear a polo shirt a few different ways.

FINALLY! It is complete... sorta.  Some of you have been waiting on this for a while, others probably don't know what the hell a "Dapper Tracks" is.  For those of you unfamiliar, Dapper Tracks is my podcast, of sorts, where I play music that I'm enjoying at the moment, past and present, as well as discuss topics of interest.  This addition to the Dapper Tracks collection is a mixtape of (relatively) new music that I'm bumping minus the commentary... with a few little treats in there to spice things up.  You can stream this if you are at work as well as download the mix.  Stay tuned for an untagged version with separated tracks.  Thanks for the patience and enjoy!

Turning the Corner

According to the calendar, Spring has been upon us for a few weeks now but in most places we are just now getting a taste of warm weather.  In my last post, I talked about mixing staples from Fall/Winter with Spring/Summer pieces to create seasonally appropriate outfits.  Now that we have turned the seasonal corner, let's talk about the season's sartorial MVP: the unstructured cotton blazer.
